DESCRIPTION:NVRC pilots will be part of the Leesburg Airshow again this year! \nhttps://leesburgairshow.com/ \nCome enjoy a fun-filled day of exciting and educational aviation displays and demonstrations at the 2018 Leesburg Airshow!\nThe annual Leesburg Airshow will take place on Saturday\, September 29\, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.\, at the Leesburg Executive Airport. This event provides a wonderful opportunity to see a snapshot of the general aviation world. The static display area\, located on the airport’s aircraft parking ramp\, will feature many unique\, experimental and antique aircraft. The airshow exhibitors will showcase the many facets of general aviation\, such as flight training\, corporate transportation and emergency rescue operations. In addition\, there will be inflatables for the kids\, and a variety of food vendors. The skies above Leesburg will come alive with skydiving and aerobatic performances.

SUMMARY:NVRC Multi-Rotor Racing - Campbel's Chase
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the first race of NVRC’s Loudoun Series!\nIn honor of John Campbell\, the 4th Earl of Loudoun\, we’re kicking of the 2018-19 season at Mickie Gordon Memorial Park. \n\nThis race is for 25mw vTx only. \nThe first round of the 2018-19 Loudoun Series will be open class (3s and up) flying through gates and pylons.  Scores will be tallied by the number of completed laps in 2 minutes through 4 rounds.  Prizes will be awarded to the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place finishers at the end of the day\, but the real prize will be the Series Champion.  This award will be handed out at the end of the season in March.  There will be seven races scheduled in the season\, but only the top six will be scored. \nRegistration closes on Friday evening (9/7/18) at 8PM.  After this point\, all pilots will be checked in and vTx frequencies and racing heats will be assigned based on NVRC’s ranking system (looks at your past 10 races to set heats). \nIMPORTANT – you must show your AMA card and FAA Registration.  If we cannot verify your AMA and FAA\, you will not be allowed to fly. \n$10 landing fee for non-NVRC club members\, $5 if you show your NVRC member card.  Landing fee includes snacks and drinks during the races. \n**Novice and intermediate level pilots will be grouped as best as possible into heats with their peers. \n***A note about inclement weather: If for any reason we cannot fly (snow\, rain\, wind)\, we’ll send out notification by Saturday afternoon.  The race will not be rescheduled. \n\n\n\nRace course setup begins at 10:30AM. \n10:30 AM – Pilot Registration \n11:00 – Pilot briefing and safety breifing \n11:15 – Warm ups by heat \n12:00 – 15:00 – Racing! \n15:00 – Course tear down \nMeet by the pavilion day of race: (link to fancy map – https://w3w.co/dislodged.segregation.trudges ) \nCheck out the NVRC MultiGP Chapter page for the latest details
